The Cake Is A Lie!

Good evening mildly friendly bloggers!
It's been 4 days since I last posted because, unfortunately, I had a test today and I didn't even had time to go to the computer during the weekend (bullshit). I have noticed that Trust v.0.3. had a few bugs and mistakes. I have fixed some of them and one of the available endings has been somewhat improved. But about the bugs: there is a major bug that makes the player "sink" into the floor when it touches the legs...people seriously, jump on top of them, this bug only happens if you touch them from below. Also if anyone has any idea in how to make the player follow the movement of the platforms, I would be much obliged.


Concerning Trust v.0.4., it is already under development, and I'll be doing a lot of it tomorrow, so, sometime around this week it should be released, but no promises!
As for the Stories Section...I've just got a major setback. I had noticed that my cellphone can send my text files via email. I was going to send them to myself so that I could post them...well...I just realized that in order to send these files via email I need a "Vodafone 360 account"! Curse you Vodafone! Just kidding, I love Vodafone, except when they send me useless ads that I don't read...Anyway:
This basically means I'll have to type EVERYTHING manually into the computer...so yeah a few more days before I put anything available for download, and, because of (Dreekun's) thousands of requests, I'll make them available in PDF format.


Also, regarding that promise I made about the second challenge: I was going to eat my cake today since nobody gave me the answer, but when I checked my mail account today I noticed that I had received an email from an individual who calls himself Myke-Z.


The reference to the two sentences I posted on the blog were right here. Well, truth be told, Tobuscus says this catchphrase on most of his videos, so I would accept the reference as long as he said it...actually just saying that the phrases were from Tobuscus was enough. Dearest bloggers, Tobuscus is...what can I say, hilarious in my opinion, and, in a world like the one we live today, it's good to find someone who can make us smile. So if you have the time, go check his videos; for those who like gaming I especially recommend his literal videos. Very special thanks to my cousin, who led me to discover this YouTube genius. 


Well then mister Myke-Z congratulations! You've earned, like I promised, cake :O

And there you go bloggers, I'll post more tomorrow since I'll have plenty of time to do so. I have other challenges in mind but I'll leave them for latter. As for the Stories and Trust v.0.4. we'll just have to wait and see.

Three's a Charm

Good evening bloggers!


Today is Thursday, and you know what that means! Tomorrow is casual Friday! So, to the usual folk who show up on the msn, make sure you don't miss it!


I've made an update to Trust, it is now v0.3 and it's ready to be played. Some of my friends have been suggesting that I should only release the game when it's ready. Well I won't that but I'll do something else which is to release the next version of the game when a new stage is complete, and not just a single room like I did from 0.1. to 0.2.
As a side note, the first stage of the game will be an introduction to get you used to the game. The actual game will begin, so to speak in stage 2 (currently being developed).
If all goes according to plan, the game will have 5 stages as well as a secret extra stage. To keep this updated I have made some changes to the GameZ section; do feel free to check it out.


I don't have any updates for the Stories Section yet, but I will try to make something for it as soon as possible.
After all, I only have two hands and two brains, so I need to manage with what I have.


This is a rather short post, compared to my usual stuff, but whatever.

Still alive! Major Blog Update

Good Evening Dear Bloggers!
If you like to read you won't have problems in checking out this post, if you don't well, let's just say that this post will be rather big.


Dearest Bloggers as you might have noticed I have failed to post both on Saturday and Sunday.

So I would like to state a few things. I know I've said in my msn account that the Blog is Updated Every day but unfortunately that is impossible to me. First because I'm extremely busy all of the time: school, guitar, drawing, games, stories and other I don't remember right now. And second, because I have a very laid back personality that prevents me from complying with deadlines, compromises etc.
So, the blog's motto "Updated Everyday" is now "Updated Almost Everyday" just check every two days or so for new content. That's the first thing I wanted to talk about.


Secondly I would like to correct myself in my previous post where I said Minecraft hadn't come out and Mojang had failed to deliver. Ironically the full release came very shortly after I posted it -.-
Some of you may ask: "Why didn't you post anything on the weekend Ryuuji?" 

1. Because Minecraft.
2. Because Skyrim.
3. Because Yes.

In that order (I know the sentences have sintax mistakes, don't you worry about it), but, to explain it better:

I was the whole Saturday playing Minecraft Online.

I was the whole Sunday playing Skyrim.

It was 23:45 when I stopped playing on Sunday and I didn't feel like posting; so yes in that order.

That's all for explanations and corrections. 

I have finally updated the Tales and Romances Section which will contain all my stories and poems, if I can find them all that is. I will create a download link with which you will be able to download them in the near future. I'm thinking of making my stories on Word, or rather make them available to the public via Word Documents, however if you, dear bloggers, prefer something else like PDF or so, please inform me.

Currently, the only available literature works I have created are "Unlimited English Works" and a small preview of "Doomsday"; for more info check the Tales and Romances Section.

Now, Gamez Update;

I'm still working on Trust 0.3, don't you worry, I intend to add more than just a single room like I did with 0.2, as well as develop the story a little more.

As for "Unnamed Text Game", I've gotten a whole lot of new ideas for it by playing "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim". Right now my main preoccupation is working on the code to get a few things working right and then I'll work the plot/story.

Also, if you have any suggestions for "Unnamed Text Game" especially a name for it, please inform me. All of this and more additional info on the GameZ & Updates Page.

Finally, I've decided to upload all my drawings on the blog so, I'm going to create the Drawings Section pretty soon. Also by suggestion of a dear fan, I'll make them available in DeviantArt as well.

Actually I forgot something: I'm still waiting on the reference of the sentences:

Broken Promises...and Dragon towards Skyrim

Good evening dear bloggers. Today is Friday, and that means that today is casual Friday :O


First of all, regarding "Trust" there has a bug that prevented people from exiting the game :P
So, young and so full of bugs! This has been corrected and I've added a new object in the final room. It's a big golden cross; touch it to exit the game. I've already uploaded the fixed version on MediaFire.


As for the Stories Section, I'm creating it today, but I'll only post some actual content tomorrow. I'm making this post at nearly midnight and I'm really tired @_@
I have done a lot of things that kept me busy today:


I was pissed off at the fact that were already at 18 of November and there's still no Minecraft final release!

Oh God please let it come!!!

There are over a million fans impatient for it!

Still there's more about Minecraft. Xico and his wonderful server have provided me, along with several of my friends, the best fun I've ever had at Minecraft.

And I've got to say it's bloody awesome! Truly, it is absolutely fantastic, no wonder it surpassed Portal 2. If you played Portal 2, then you know that surpassing is a very hard feat to accomplish :O

Never trust the words: updated every day.

Good evening bloggers, and followers (that's you Dreekun)


I have, (as you might have noticed), failed to update the blog yesterday. Why? Because (I didn't feel like you ungrateful people who don't even post comments) I was very tired and it was very late when I got home.


Anyway; this post's title is a reference to that AND to the newest release of "Trust"! Version 0.2. is now officially available in the GameZ & Updates Section. I know that until now it said on the GameZ section that it was already 0.2., but that was a typo. 

Oh my God it's out!!! v0.2 :O

The Media Fire link has been updated, Megaupload isn't working for some reason though, I will check it later.


Also, I believe that tomorrow I should be able to open up the Stories Section :D 


Oh my God I just realized that tomorrow is Friday. Alright guys, tomorrow is Casual Friday, so make sure you show up on the MSN Chat! >:D

Trusting the Beta Servers

Good evening dearest bloggers!
It's Tuesday today and the weekend seems so far away...still;


I've got some good news! The game "Trust" is going faster than I had anticipated! So I think that now I can say almost with perfect confidence that is will be ready in less than one month. No promises though :P


I have created an account at Media Fire. I have placed a folder called Ryuu-Base which you can all access here; inside you'll find another folder called Gamez and inside it you'll find trust v.0.1. I've also added an alternative mirror on Megaupload here(not anymore, I don't like magaupload's uploading system9.

Before you start making fun of the game, please remember that it's still vanilla and quite experimental. I will update future versions of the game when they are ready to be published.

I have another thing to tell you about!
I just keep finding the wonders of online playing.
Today I've joined (for the first time) a Beta version online game of Minecraft 1.9 pre2. A thousand thanks to Xico who created the server :3
I don't think I've had so much fun at it :D

Finally, I think that in two three days I might have enough material to open up the Stories Section (are you fucking kidding me, more bloody text??!!), so if all goes well, you should have a nice section with all my stories pretty soon.

Call to Arms

Good evening dear bloggers and bloggetes!
Today is Monday, worst day of the week if you ask me, but I guess that I only think that way because I stay until very late on Sunday and then getting out of bed in the next morning gets a 500% difficulty increase...but enough about that!


Today I have several updates to report, one of them is that I just noticed that in previous posts I'm putting Minecraft content before my own (I know wtf right?) Well never again, unless I distract myself which can occur quite often.


Moving on; there's a brand new page on the blog called Gamez & Updates, so go check it out! It has (like the name Implies) all currently available information on the games I'm developing. I will also create a Stories Section in the future and maybe a Minecraft's Creations page as well...and maybe a Drawings page too while I'm at it. So much to do and so little time! And before you ask, yes, I do know that Gamez is written with an "s" and not a "z", I did it on purpose. 


Now, allow me to explain the name of the post:
I've just got myself a helping hand!
Tiago's Soul has (been forced under death threat) volunteered to join me in my game making and he's helping me with "Unnamed Text Game", and so can you! In order to check what you can do to help -yes I still have faith in humanity, if I didn't I wouldn't be making such requests- just go to the Gamez and Updates page.

It's snowing! I had never seen it before so it was like :O

Chickens, Chickens everywhere!

I got a nice chicken coop installed on my house now :)

I don't have much else to show about Minecraft, but I have a few to talk about:

1. If you would like to send your creations via screen shots go ahead, I'll post them in this blog, they will be moved to the future Minecraft Section
2. I have been making some experiments with Fraps, and I've recorded a video that shows me playing; Fraps is indeed awesome, just one problem, it creates ginormous files! A 25 min long video is sized up to 3.20 GB!!! So! If you know of a good video compressor/converter, let me know and I'll begin adding videos too.

Also; if you would like to see something specific other than the ones I usually post about...like anime (crap I'm forgetting about the anime), please inform me. Oh, by suggestion of Tiago's Soul I'll be implementing debates and stuff like that, once more to increase user interactivity.

Challenges and Awards

I'm posting again today again to comply with my promise from the first post.
In "Introducing Ryuu-Base" I said that if anyone could get the reference of the poem, I would give him or her a cookie.


The name of my poem was Unlimited English Works, and, respectively, the one who got the reference right, and the reference itself is...

The reference was "Unlimited Blade Works" a chant from Archer from the anime Fate/Stay Night who came after the visual novel with the same name under the direction of Type-Moon; obviously enough both the anime and the visual novel contain this reference so either response would be correct. I must put everything, from the character to the studios due to copyright's and whatever. Anyway, Dreekun provided the official video as a form of answer in the comments of the "Thunders and Snowmen" post. Pretty nice job, since that saves me the trouble of getting the video! xD

Thunders and Snowmen

Good afternoon dear bloggers!

It's (sundae) Sunday today! The day of the Lord (Amen), and the day of the family!
I was going to place a picture of God in here but I don't want to offend any believers/non-believers.

So there you go!

Ok, let's get back to the post.


There's a thunderstorm outside, and although the risk of my computer going haywire because of the storm is rather big, my passion for this blog is greater!


I'm sure you all remember my little house (if you don't, check the previous post), well it's gotten a lot "snowier" and it's got a watch guard now too! :D

Yep, it's a walking snowmen, that throws snowball nonstop!

I also took the liberty of creating a partner for him, as well as a small watch tower >:D

Their attack isn't very useful (snowballs are completely harmless), but they keep the enemies at bay, and allow me to go behind them and slash away with my sword, AND they're very good at luring enemies right into my traps!

Also they add a nice touch to the tundra biome I'm in.

But enough about "Minecraft"!

Let's talk about the games I'm developing :)

As for "Unnamed Text Game", it's my main project; it's being coded on TADS 3

and as of now: 

I've done the basic sketch of it, I've got my base plot and characters nailed down and I've got the first "room game" ready. It isn't going any faster, because TADS does a superb work at frustrating my coding attempts every-time it gets a chance to.

The game is about a young boy from our planet who gets sent into a world of magic through a magical portal... Yes it's cliche, but then again, so are much of the games and movies nowadays.

This will be a large-scale project starting with just text output and text input options/choices, and then will be ported along with my drawings into the actual game, as an RPG.

Also there's "Trust"; it's a small graphical game in it's early stages programmed with Game Maker 8.1, and it will be exactly about what the tittle says. The game's motto is: "How much can you trust the very game you're playing?"

It's still very experimental, and I'm still in a phase of drawing sprites and defining the objects of the game.

But if all goes well, it should be ready in less than a month.

I said "should be ready in less than a month" because:

1. It can be ready in just two weeks or so;
2. I'm a very lazy person, so I rather not promise anything;
3. A lot of things can go wrong;
4. A lot of things may go better that expected.

As for my stories, I'm still in the process of...well...finding the missing papers around the house! As well as copying everything from those papers and my cellphone text files into word documents on my computer. This time however I made sure to create a folder just for them so not to lose them again in the middle of hundreds of files xD

And that's pretty much it...just one more thing actually:

Broken Promises

Good Morning dear bloggers!

It's Caturday today!!! >:3

Ok, moving on now.

This post will be a continuation of what I started yesterday, simply because it was kind of late, and I didn't say everything I wanted to.

Ah yesterday was truly a great day!

A lot of games were released such as:

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim";

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3";

"L.A. Noire";

As well as the final and much anticipated version of "Minecraft"...

NOT!

Unfortunately dear readers, the final version for "Minecraft" got a 7 days adjournment, meaning that it will only come out on 18 of November. 

As a consolation, so to speak, the pre-release nº.6 of version 1.9 was released

instead.

"Minecraft" full version was supposed to have been released yesterday, hence this

post's name. Still, I'm already testing the 1.9 pre6 and I can definitely vouch for it!

My little (hole in the dirt) home! I've made a new game to see pre 6 features and it's going pretty well, for now at least.

Posting these, has made me though of another thing to add to this blog, which

will be my "Minecraft" creations xD, but more of that later.

Oh yeah,about the releases, there was also some (awesome) mediocre blog that

was created that day, whose name I've forgotten. 

Something ending in case, maze?...nope, I can't recall.

Anyway, yesterday was also the first time I entered a "CoD: World at War" LAN

game. I have to admit it was very fun :D

Apart from the immense LAG - so bad that I would shoot a zombie with a shotgun

in the head, and next thing I know, he's behind me ripping my head off - 

and the fact that I died...what? 15 times? Oh well.

I would also like to apologize to my team-mates who got into a horrifying, electric

gruesome death, because of me...

Introducing Ryuu-Base

Greetings ladies and gentlemen!

This is my brand new (and first) blog. I decided to create it for a few reasons:

1.     I've always wanted to create a blog of my own;

2.     This blog falls under the list of "Turning My Lies Into Truths", but I shall explain it better at a later time;

3.     I have a lot of projects and ideas, a.k.a. stuff, I want to share with the world;

4.     A lot of that stuff is getting destroyed and/or lost in the middle of hundreds of papers, mobile phone text files and Word documents, that I, honestly, have no idea where they might be;

Those who know me are asking, "why is the blog in English?"

If you're asking that, then the truth is, you don't know me at all!  :)

Anyway;

Ryuu because it´s the shortened version of Ryuuji - my artist name by the way - and base because this blog will consist of an archive of my creations: games, programs, stories, drawings etc. And yes, I'm into anime, as you might have guessed from the artist name.

I've choosen this specific day to create it for two reasons:

1.     It may be last chance I get to post something on 11/11/11, since I doubt I´ll make it to 2111.

2.     I was going to create it on the 5th of November - you know Guy Fawkes and everything he represents - but I simply didn't the availability on that day.

If you don't know what he represents, you can always google it, or the movie "V for Vendetta", if you don't know it already.

This won't be a funny-image/video blog/website because for that there is already 9gag.com.

This will be a (perfectly safe-for-work blog) regular blog, most of it anyway, but be advised that I do intend to place erotic content, and by erotic I mean a lot of things, you can try to guess what! I Will place a warning when I do post such contents.

That is pretty much it, I will obviously tidy up the blog and expand it, for now however, this first post will mark the beginning of it. And to make the blogs start a bit better, allow me to show you one of my very first literature shorts:
